Checkup.com and other Premium Medical Domain Names for Sale at Auction
If you've ever tried to register a new domain name -- particularly using a generic keyword -- you know that most all words are already registered and no longer available. Because of this, an aftermarket in domain names has sprung up, and a number of premium health and medical domain names can still be purchased at auction or through private sales.
Argonaut Ventures, a business development company that manages one of the largest portfolios of premium health and medical domain names, recently announced the auction of a number of domain names from its portfolio, including Checkup.com, WeightReduction.com, Menopause.com and others.
"Our company is continually working to monetize our portfolio of domain names," says Peter Goggin, an Argonaut Ventures partner. "Whether it's through development of a domain name, licensing, or domain sales, our strategic goal is to provide maximum value for our investors. Today, the premium domain name market is flourishing as corporations realize the significant value that these domain names hold."
According to Monte Cahn, co-founder and CEO of Moniker, "Strategic use of domain names offers businesses the chance to own their respective markets with the most targeted direct navigation traffic and by branding themselves online as an industry leader. T.R.A.F.F.I.C. NYC 2007 presents many opportunities for businesses to grow their portfolios, address their business needs and dominate their industries."
